Director of CENTRO, Mexico City’s first university specializing in creative studies, Kerstin Scheuch has a BA in Art History (St. Andrews and Vienna), and an MBA from INSEAD at Fontainebleau, France. Between 2001 and 2002 she developed CENTRO’s strategic plan, supervising the process from implementation of the strategy until the university’s inauguration in 2004.
At CENTRO Kerstin has focused on organizing exhibitions, workshops and conferences with designers, filmmakers, curators, and art critics from Mexico and around the world in order to foster an ongoing dialogue in all aspects of design and creativity.
In her previous work at the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California (2005-2007), Kerstin interviewed more than 180 industry leaders, entrepreneurs, policy-makers and educators as market research into innovative educational models for design in Barcelona.
Kerstin has also been Executive Consultant at KPMG London (2000-2001) Director of Vienna Secession from 1996 to 1999 (including during its centenary year), and in charge of public relations and marketing for the 24th Council of Europe Art Exhibition in collaboration with Austria’s Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs (1995-1996). She also worked at Sotheby’s Vienna in an expert-client liaison role (1991-1993).
